Before we begin preparations for Art New York (May 2 to 5, 2019, Pier 94 12th Avenue at 55th Street, NY) and Art Basel Week, we will show a selection of works from the gallery’s holdings on two floors. It is an exclusive selection of artworks and artists with whom we have been working for years.
One exception is Geneviève Morin. Ms. Morin is new to the gallery and will be present in autumn with a solo exhibition, which we are very much looking forward to. In the upcoming group exhibition we will show her large-format work “Mon père” Oil on jute 120 x 250 cm, from the year 2017.
The selection also includes an exclusive work by Roman Signer, which he realized in 2015 in the filter4 in Basel – a photograph of his installation “Fluss” (edition 6/10), authorized and signed by the artist. Markus Klinko presents a selection of his David Bowie – unseen Photos.
From MARCK, the most famous “LICHT FELD artist” by now, we present two new works, which will be complemented by three more during the ArtBasel week. From Tarek Abu Hageb we show a large and a small drawing from the series Ghost’s. Nimai Kesten shows two political and very contemporary sculptures, Hubert Kretzschmar shows screen prints by Mick Jagger plus a Dead Boys series and Peter Dauphin shows two oil paintings from the Fukushima series 2015 and at least but not last the great Carlo Aloë, who will celebrate his eightieth birthday in May.
