Statement
About my work (what it is, my intention and my objective)
There is no objective, no statement, there is absolutely nothing.
It is a work, which has sprung from interspaces. Fantasy and subjective reality. I often get my inspiration from photographs (old and contemporary). From things I see, that stimulate me and get me to fantasise.
Technique and what is important to me? One of the most important things, what I absolutely need, is glue. The technique I use is gluing and non-gluing. In my earlier works I used daily newspapers, which I glued together, or didn’t glue. Later I used acrylic paint as glue. A further important factor is light. When I work, I need to feel that I am working during the night. This way I ensure that absolutely no natural light breaks in. This situation helps me to control how much light I need whilst I am working. Sometimes requires it more, sometimes less light.
