Statement

Born 1960

After attending the School of Applied Arts in Basel, completing a four-year apprenticeship as a decoration designer and pursuing further training as an advertising assistant, he rediscovered the origins and power of the visual arts. Having worked privately as an artist throughout his formative years, he eventually decided to devote himself fully to his passion. In 2001, he launched the LICHT FELD exhibition series on the former Gundeldinger Feld industrial site in Basel. The LICHT FELD Gallery followed in 2007.

Over the years, his artistic practice has evolved into conceptual art. His work explores themes such as war, water, desire and death. Since founding the gallery and becoming president of the filter4 association, Hadorn has worked primarily as an art curator and facilitator. Nevertheless, he remains committed to creating at least one new work every year.
