About my work (what it is, my intention and my objective)
There is no objective, no statement, there is absolutely nothing.
It is a work, which has sprung from interspaces. Fantasy and subjective reality. I often get my inspiration from photographs (old and contemporary). From things I see, that stimulate me and get me to fantasise.
Technique and what is important to me? One of the most important things, what I absolutely need, is glue. The technique I use is gluing and non-gluing. In my earlier works I used daily newspapers, which I glued together, or didn’t glue. Later I used acrylic paint as glue. A further important factor is light. When I work, I need to feel that I am working during the night. This way I ensure that absolutely no natural light breaks in. This situation helps me to control how much light I need whilst I am working. Sometimes requires it more, sometimes less light.
Dear friends and art lovers Actually, we never talk about Internas. But now there is reason for to correct a position. LICHTFELD Gallery has applied for participation in the this year PhotoBasel 2017 with works by Markus Klinko (David Bowie photos), Roman Signer and Sandra Kunz. The selection comitee voted against the admission of the gallery. Now, unfortunately, articles are circulating in publications such as "Forbes magazine", "culture tip" to name only two, who are advertising the PhotoBasel with the David Bowie Photos. So, the works of Markus Klinko are shown by the LICHTFELD Gallery at SCOPE artfair / Booth B01 and not at the PB! And forgiveness for those who went to the PB in vain. We have absolutely no idea where and why this information has landed at the press. Of us certainly not, because we then rather advert for SCOPE artfair advert and not for PB. Thank you for your comprehension.
